Being a Ride Leader/Assistant

Being a ride leader/assistant

The Junior MTB program doesn’t run without the help of many volunteers. We would be very grateful for any/all parents that can assist by offering to lead or sweep a group at Tuesday afternoon MTB Club. Watch this short video to see how you can help.

Even if you can’t commit every week let the colour coordinator of your group (the person in an Orange t-shirt) know that you’re interested.

If you don’t feel comfortable leading a group, parents are needed to ride at the back and simply make sure all the kids make it to the end of the trail. If you don’t feel comfortable riding at your child’s level you are welcome to assist with one of the lower groups.

We need at least 2 parents to every 8 kids, so grab your bike and come ride with the kids. We endeavour to have leaders and helpers organised prior to each session.  For any queries or to offer your assistance, please email our junior club coordinator at; juniors@alpinecyclingclub.com.au

Mountain biking is an activity which takes place in the outdoors in unpredictable conditions; the safety and enjoyment of our junior riders is important and whilst we will endeavour to run junior program activities regardless of the weather they may be cancelled in cases of extreme weather.

Alpine Cycling Club respects the right of all children who are members of the Alpine Cycling Club or who participate in Club activities to have the right to feel and be safe. We are committed to the safety and well-being of all children and young people accessing our Club.
