I have a question……..
Great, read on!

What is this event?
Ride Her Way Big MTB Day Out is a FREE event aimed to help beginner women and girls (aged 5+) discover the joy of mountain biking and to build connections through mountain biking by helping to build confidence, community, and skills out on the trails.
It runs from 9.30am-2pm on Sun, Oct 27.
Participants will have the opportunity to join selected MTB sessions of interest across the day to experience a range of different terrains, activities and skills.
These sessions may include:
– Single-track MTB ride
– Gravel/rail trail ride
– Pump track/Jumps track session
– Social activities (food and games)
* Please note, the schedule is subject to change
The riding portion of the day will be followed by an opportunity for social connection with food, drinks, games and a raffle.
All portions of the day are voluntary, and participants may choose to participate in some or all activities on offer.
The whole event is free, thanks to Change Our Game Victoria, and all participants will receive a Swag Bag and go in the draw for some great raffle prizes.
When will entries open?
Entries are open now! Click here
What does the event cost to enter?
Nothing! This event is FREE for all participants, thanks to the Alpine Cycling Club and Change Our Game Victoria.
How old do riders need to be?
The event is open to all females, and those who identify as female, from age 5+. Please note, all riders under 18 require a parent/guardian to be present on the day.
I am an intermediate/advanced rider. Can I attend?
This event is aimed at Beginner riders, and supported by a grant from Change Our Game Victoria designed to help more women get into mountain biking. For these reasons, this event is only open to Beginners or those very new to mountain biking.
When should I arrive?
Please arrive at 9.30am to register. Workshops start at 10am.
What happens when I arrive on site?
Our helpful parking volunteers will help youy find a park and direct you to Registration. You’ll reigster and let us know you’ve arrived, collect your Swag Pack, and sign up for the day’s sessions. You’ll have the choice to attend 1-3 MTB workshops across the day, followed by food and drinks. Our volunteers will help guide you through this. Then, if you’ve arranged to get a bike from us, we’ll help fit you to your bike and helmet and get you ready to ride.
Will there be food and drink on site?
Yes! We will provide food and drink during the latter part of the day (from around 1pm), once the workshops are finished. You are, of course, welcome to bring your own as well!
I don’t have a bike but I want to take part.
That’s fine! We can provide a mountain bike and a helmet to those who require them (for FREE!) – just let us know when you register and we’ll do the rest.
I don’t have a Mystic Park membership / a club membership / an Aus-Cycling license.
That’s ok! You may require both a Mystic Park membership and an AusCycling license (we’re still sorting this out) – but if you do, we will cover the cost for you.
What do I bring on the day?
Yourself, your bike and helmet (if you have them), some water, maybe some snacks, and some layers (dress for the weather). In terms of ‘bike gear’ – you don’t need much – just some closed-toe shoes (runners/skate shoes are ideal). If you have gloves, knee/elbow pads, bring them along but it’s fine if you don’t.
I’m very nervous – what if I can’t keep up.
It’s totally normal to be nervous when you’re trying something new. But, rest assured, all the other participants are in the same boat as you – they’re all beginners, too! Our coaches are all experienced, qualified, female MTB coaches who will provide a safe, supporting, encouraging, fun environment for you.
