Social Rides

The club holds social rides for both road and mountain biking at regular times throughout the week. Check the information board out front of Cyclepath to see what rides are available during the week. All rides gather and start from Cyclepath.

Bunch ride – some easy, some hammerfest’s. Watch out for the Dairy sprint & the 60k speed sign sprint back into town. See if you can stay with the mountain goats up the hills. The bunch always regroups – no one is left behind.

Monday – Thursday Depart 6:00am Sharp! (not winter we’re skiing)

Various routes of about 40km. Back in Bright approx 7:45am

Annual Club Dinner

Early each year the club gets together for a social dinner and awards ceremony to celebrate another year of the club and its achievements.  Please email to book your seat.

Members’ Favorite Rides

The famous Murray to Mountains Rail Trail starts in town and runs all the way to Wangaratta with a side trip up to Beechworth. See the Murray to Mountains website for more info.

Punkah Circuit Out to Porepunkah and back 14km Map
Wandi Loop An easy ride to historic Wandilligong. Visit Australia’s largest hedge maze while you’re there. 20km Map
Buckland Valley One of the prettiest rides in the region with impressive views of Mt Buffalo 40km Map
Gaps Loop A circuit out over Rosewhite Gap and return via Tawonga Gap 110km Map
Mt Buffalo Probably the easiest of the mountains to climb with fantastic views from the top. 65km Map
Falls Creek Falls Creek itself isn’t too hard but you have to go over Tawonga Gap twice. 120km Map
Mt Hotham A tough climb with the Meg and CRB Hill to test you en route. 110km Map
The Big One Over Mt Hotham to Omeo then back via Falls Creek and Tawonga Gap. Includes the dreaded Back o’ Falls climb. 250km Map
